AAMRO and MROCC certified physicians can recertify online at the MRO Center in 2008
using AAMRO's learning management and document verification system from Noverant, Inc.
MRO Center members who recertify online will have online transcripts hosted through
Noverant. These transcripts may follow members for the length of their practice,
regardless of employment changes.
Recertification Good for Six Years
Recertification has been required by AAMRO every five years to remain in good
standing. Beginning January 2008, AAMRO certification will be valid for six years.
The recertification process assures that MROs are current in their knowledge and
performance of the essential duties of MROs. It is designed to inform and assess
the MRO's knowledge of rule changes, current practices and procedures and technical
issues. The exam is both a self-evaluation and an MRO diagnostic tool. This is an
open-book exam. Applicable study materials are noted on the application and may be
ordered through AAMRO. Recertification carries a CME Credit. It is approved for 16
prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
