Basic Comprehensive MRO Training and Certification

 

*Required for all new MRO candidates certifying through AAMRO*

This training provides the qualifications required by the U.S. Department of Transportation and prepares participants for the AAMRO MRO certification examination.

 

Course Content

 

This training offers a comprehensive overview of the role and responsibilities of the Medical Review Officer (MRO) in workplace drug testing programs. The course includes detailed coverage of:

  • Specimen Collection Procedures
  • MRO Practices and Procedures
  • Laboratory Testing
  • Alternative Medical Explanations for Laboratory-Confirmed Drug Test Results
  • Alcohol Testing
  • Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Evaluations
  • Technical and Legal Considerations in the MRO Process
  • Guidance and Risk Management Practices
  • Designer Drugs

 

CME Credits - This program is accepted for 21.75 prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Board of Preventive Medicine.

Day Two

  • 7:30 am — Continental Breakfast
  • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm — AAMRO Program

  • 7:30 am — Continental Breakfast
  • 8:00 am – 12:00 pm — AAMRO Program
  • 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm — AAMRO Examination
